The apostle Paul observed, “If the dead do not rise, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” (1 Corinthians 15:32) Many live by this philosophy, forgetting that the dead do rise. In recent years, medical technology has been able to resuscitate people from their deathbeds. And many have spoken of the afterlife they saw during their flat-line experience.
Jesus tells of a rich man in Hades, begging Abraham to send someone to warn his brothers about “this place of torment.” Abraham replied, “If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead” (Luke 16:28 & 31).
Jesus resurrected and said, “Go into all the world and preach the [good news] … [h]e who believes and is baptized will be saved …” (Mark 16:15-16). Do you believe? |
