The Bible says, “if you confess … the Lord Jesus [Christ] and believe … God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For whosoever calls upon … the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:9-10). Webster’s dictionary defines the word resurrection, “to bring back to life, or rising from the dead.”
History records the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ two thousand years ago. Our calendars are marked, “A.D.” which is abbreviated for the Latin words, Anno Domini and mean, “the year of our Lord.” When we believe the message of the cross that Jesus died to forgive our sins and then raised from the dead, something wonderful happens.
Our souls come to life and we experience salvation just like Jesus who is alive. |
