A father illustrated faith in God by declaring, “There are eight thousand, three hundred and sixty-five hairs on your head.” His incredulous teen argued, “You don’t know that!” “Of course I do”, he replied,  “And you can prove it if you want too … count them!”

This silly story reveals an important truth. Jesus said, “the … hairs of your head are all numbered … therefore; you are of [much] value [to God]” (Luke 12:7). But to know God as intimately as God knows you requires much time and discipline.
