Secretary of State Henry Kissinger once said, “There can’t be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.” Yes, life is busy with little time for unscheduled events. Yet, we attend funerals, take the car to the mechanic, or pick up a sick child from school, because a crisis demands priority. We make time for important things.
The Bible speaks of time, “You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord …” (Exodus 31:13 NIV).
It is essential that we remind God each week that He is important, by scheduling our time to attend church. When we do, we discover God’s love and plan for our lives. It is a life that is peaceful and not so busy, but takes time to enjoy God’s creation and salvation. |
