The Bible says, “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes … unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).

Webster’s dictionary defines the word believe; “to accept as true.” In championship ballgames, television cameras scan the audience to show fans passionately rooting for their team. They often have signs proclaiming, “You got to believe!” The fans understand, that in order to win, the players, franchise, and city must first believe it can and will happen.

I believe God loves me so much, that He sent Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for my sins by dying on the cross and rising from the dead. Believing is the first step to spiritual victory.
